India Char Dham
India Char Dham
Char Dham refers to four sacred pilgrimage sites located across India—Badrinath (North), Rameshwaram (South), Dwarka (West), and
Jagannath Puri (East). Together, they form a spiritual
circuit that spans the country and represents a
complete yatra in Sanatan Dharma.
Why it is Significant?
✅ The Char Dham concept was established by Adi Shankaracharya to unify spiritual practices across India.
✅ Each dham is dedicated to a different form of Bhagwan—Vishnu, Shiva, and Krishna.
✅ It is believed that completing the Char Dham yatra helps attain moksha (liberation).
✅ The sites are spread in all four directions, symbolizing balance and completeness in life.
